The Only Job That Pays

THE ONLY JOB THAT PAYS

You gotta let it go

Cause its bringing you down

You gotta lift up your hands

And let your voice ring out

You oughta know by now

That hate weighs too much

I can’t wait to fly

So I gotta give it up

And love all you friends

And love all your kin

And love all your neighbors

And let love be your labor

Cause in the end

It’s the only job that pays

Let go your hurt

Let go your pain

It won’t keep you safe

It just attracts the rain

It just attracts the rain

And you gotta jump

Gotta sing it out

Lift up your hand

Let your voice ring out

Until the cold cruel world falls down

And we’ll build it again

And we’ll build it right

And let love be our labor

Oh cause in the end

It’s the only job that pays

You gotta let it go

Cause its bringing you down

You gotta lift up your hands

And let your voice ring out

You oughta know by now

That hate weighs too much

I can’t wait to fly

So I gotta give it up

Hey my friend

You are worth more than you know

I’m about to spread my wings

And I think, yeah I really think

That next it could be you

If you....

Let go your hurt

Let go your pain

It won’t keep you safe

It just attracts the rain

It just attracts the rain

And you gotta jump

Gotta sing it out

Lift up your hand

Let your voice ring out

Until the cold cruel world falls down

And we’ll build it again

And we’ll build it right

And let love be our labor

Oh cause in the end

It’s the only job that pays

Prayer to have The Only Job That Pays

Author of Love

We ask that you show us how to Love
We ask more so that you show us how YOU Love
Because our broken hearts and broken minds and broken World
They have all combined to give us strange Definitions of Love among other Words
We know that You are the Architect of Love
We know that Your Love includes Justice
We know that Your Love includes Law
We know that Your Love includes Grace
We know that Your Love Saves instead of Destroys
We know that Your Love is often misunderstood as Hate
When what You hate is watching Your Children and Your Truth Corrupted
When we Destroy ourselves and each other
When we term Luke warm affections nobler Names
When we promote what Destroys
When we hold back what would Save
We are not Loving
We are seeking our own Comfort and Security
We are failing to give a Love that would Change, Everything

”You are not to take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am ADONAI.”

Leviticus 19:18

“If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels
but have not love, I have become a noisy gong
or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy
and know all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains
but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast[a]
but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind,
it does not envy, it does not brag,
it is not puffed up, it does not behave inappropriately,
it does not seek its own way, it is not provoked,
it keeps no account of wrong, it does not rejoice over injustice
but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things,
it believes all things, it hopes all things,
it endures all things.
Love never fails—but where there are prophecies,
they will pass away; where there are tongues,
they will cease; where there is knowledge,
it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
but when that which is perfect has come,
then that which is partial will pass away.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child,
I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see in a mirror dimly,
but then face to face.
Now I know in part, but then I will know fully,
even as I have been fully known.
But now these three remain—
faith, hope, and love.
And the greatest of these is love.”

1st Corinthians 13
